Authenticity Guaranteed!
It's been quite a while since I last wrote! I've been quite busy for the past 4 weeks! It was really tiring and apparently I've no time to update this blog. Well, we just had our CNY Sales in Heritage Hotel Ipoh last week. It went on smoothly. Even though the crowd was quite huge between 9:30am till 1pm, it went well.
I'm going to post details about our CNY Sales in Penang, at City Bayview Hotel, but I'll do it in a new post. Right now, I just want to share a story... Not to embarass anyone, but just to stress here that we are selling "Authentic/ Original brand names in our store" ...
On 13th January, we had 2 news sales assistant in our store. It was their first day of work at The Bagz, so I was there to help them. Around 9pm, a group of youngsters walked-in, dressed in their clubbing outfit, aged no more than 20. I knew they accidentally found our store and just walked in to see what we have to offer. There was one particular lady who looked quite restless, she walked from shelf-to-shelf checking our price tag, and bags ... Then suddenly she said loudly (just to make sure everybody heard) ... "Ini ori?" ... "Yes, ori" ... replied my new assistants almost instantaneously... Then she picked-up one of Coach Multi-Stripe Top Handle Pouch and said ... "Is this really original ...? I don't think so ..."
Knowing that my assistant have less knowledge about types of collection that we have in our store, I stepped out of the counter and greeted her. I actually taught her how to spot a fake Coach bag, and told her that if a Coach bag is fake, everybody can tell by looking at it from 3 metres far. Fake Coach is really obvious! :) ...
She looked unsatisfied and asked my assistants to open a glass display. This time she wanted to look at a Gucci top handle pouch. Then once again, she actually screamed loudly in the shop ... "Miss!!! I'm sure this is fake ! I have this bag at home! It is fake ... Believe me ... I wear expensive brand like Gucci, Prada .. bla bla bla ... See ... I have this Prada wallet!" ... showing-off her Prada wallet.
By now, everybody was looking at me and her. Obviously wanted me to clarify. So I asked her ... "How do you know this is fake?" ... She looked confused ... now her friends and other customers were looking at her to get the answer ... She paused for awhile ... then said ... "this fabric ... it is fake..." she touched the fabric ...
That was when I nicely explained to her how to spot a fake gucci bag, i.e. by looking at the zip with "lampo" brand, the weigh of its hardware, the stitching, the many kind of signature Gucci fabric that Gucci have ... most importantly the control number ... and I even mentioned the departmental store from which this bag came from in USA ... She waved her hand snobbishly and said ... "I don't know ... this is your shop.. of course I cannot say anything ...???" ... She obviously was embarassed, but still do not want to admit ... As she made her way out of The Bagz, I quickly emphasised ... "Miss .. We do not sell fake in our store ... it is against the law ... Ministry will surely come and arrest us ..." ... she left The Bagz yelling to her friends now ... "I know they sell fake fake !!! ...?"
I don't know what is her problem, but obviously she's eager to prove that we sell fake when everything we sell is actually the same as what you can get from Star Hill, KLCC or Pavillion. But judging from her appearance, I would say she's a young lady who came from a well-to-do family, but all of her friends are not. So may be (my theory), she's just trying to show to her friends that she knows everything about designer items? Well, I think she has more homework to do, and should learn more about how to spot a fake :) ...
Therefore, once again, I would like to stress today, that we will never sell fake, and never will! Everything is ordered and checked by me, we got our designer goods from authorised store / distributor in the United States. So, please shop with confidence!
To end the post, here's the picture of the bag that she told me was a fake. It is a Gucci Plisse Top Handle Pouch. You can buy it from Saks Fifth Avenue at USD350, in Malaysia should sell at RM1,950 at least- I think it is more! We are selling this bag in our store at RM1,250 and we only have 1 pc.

Our bag comes with 6 digit style number (upper) and 6 digit control number (bottom), so it is authentic. Lampo hardware, dollar sign on the zipper, and other prove that I can show you if you come to our store.
But beware! The fake AAA Plisse Top Handle Pouch will also have 6 digit style number (upper), but there will be no 6-digit control number in the bottom row.
